For eight years, I owned and operated Cal-Teams Sports Photography, a local youth sports photography company I founded to address the noticeable lack of quality and attention to detail in the industry. During that time, I had the privilege of providing photography services to organizations including Ventura Packers, Saticoy Little League, Buena High School, Ventura High School, Oxnard High School, and Goldcoast Water Polo.

While the experience was both rewarding and enjoyable, the business model was largely volume-driven, with limited margins. This provided valuable insight into the operational realities of large-scale sports photography companies and the challenges they face in maintaining a high standard of care.

After my children completed their athletic careers, I gradually phased out the business prior to 2020 to focus on my primary professional endeavors.

In recent years, I have occasionally been invited to photograph smaller groups of athletes. These opportunities have reignited my passion for sports photography and allowed me to reimagine how I can deliver high-quality, athlete-focused imagery in a sustainable and balanced way.
